Wonderful product for those who have a step over tub, but lack the mobility to step over the tub edge. It was pretty easy to set up, just make sure when you assemble that the horizontal top bars have the locking nubs on the correct side or the red locks will not work. It would have been easier if it came with assembly instructions. We also purchased the accessory handles for the seat. If you have decreased leg strength, the handles help with sitting. The glides are really smooth and very easy to move. The seat is very stable. The hole in the shower chair gives you easy access to wash all parts of the body. I would also recommend buying a new shower curtain and cutting two vertical slits to accommodate the chair rails. The slanted rubber feet allow it to sit flat if you have curved bottom edges on your bath tub. If the seat does not line up perfectly with the toilet, there is a small hole in the front of plastic chair where you can see the metal under rail while seated. I put a nail polish dot on the metal rail so that it can be visually lined up with the hole in the chair while you are seated. Works like a level dot so you know where you are in relation to the toilet.
My Mom's aides think this is a life saver. With the help of a couple boards to give extra lift, we are able to negotiate a 1' height difference and slide Mom directly into the shower (it required going up a step). It also facilitates cleaning her much better. She's happy and we are happy. It's lightweight too so it's easy to move out of the way when the shower is over.
